Help send Israel to the World Cup
"After World War II my grandparents moved from Poland to Israel. My mom was born in Israel, however, she and my grandparents moved to America at a young age. Growing up in the U.S., I was raised Jewish, but did not see Israel until I came with Taglit-Birthright. Touring my homeland was one of the most eye-opening, insightful, emotional experiences I have ever had. It was amazing how close to and comfortable I felt in a country I had never physically been. My dad was an All-American lacrosse player, and he's the reason I started playing the sport as a child. His passion for the game had a huge impact on me; he's a major reason why I love the sport so much. To be able to play lacrosse for Israel merges two very important aspects of my life."
"During my Senior season at Stanford, our conference tournament was held in Denver and for the first time, the winner would advance to a play-in game for the NCAA tournament. We ended up winning the tournament in double overtime in what was hands down the most stressful and exciting game I have ever played in."
"I'm playing in honor of Leket Israel, which is the country's largest food bank and food rescue network actively working to alleviate the problem of nutritional insecurity among Israel's diverse population. Each year, with the help of 45,000 volunteers and dozens of paid workers, Leket Israel rescues over 770,000 hot meals, 110,000 loaves of bread and over 18 million lbs of produce and perishable goods, for the benefit of the needy."
